Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and driven Infrastructure Security Manager to take on a pivotal role in a leading UK Bank that is currently navigating a significant digital transformation.


Role Summary:

As the Infrastructure Security Manager, you will report to the Head of Security and play an essential role in protecting the bank's critical infrastructure, which encompasses data centres, cloud platforms, networks, and physical office assets.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify vulnerabilities, implement remediation strategies, and ensure secure configurations throughout the infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enforce security strategies, policies, and controls to ensure compliance across Infrastructure and Cloud environments.
  • Manage and support vulnerability management initiatives across both on-premise and cloud infrastructures.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of network security protocols, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection, and firewall management.

Required Experience & Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management within infrastructure settings, with a proven history of leading effective teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security measures, including firewalls, micro-segmentation, DDoS mitigation, WAF, and Network Access Control (NAC).
  • Familiarity with open-source security frameworks such as OWASP and CVSS.
  • Practical experience with security tools like Qualys, AlgoSec, Fortinet, Guardicore, Akamai, and Forescout.
