Procurement Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement to join our team at AES. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that drive cost savings, improve quality, and enhance delivery performance.
About the Role: The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship development. You will be responsible for leading a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of procurement services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to achieve business objectives
- Lead a team of procurement professionals to deliver procurement services
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics
Requirements:
- Degree/HND in Manufacturing/Production/Industrial Engineering or relevant equivalent experience
- Proven experience in procurement, with a strong background in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
What We Offer: The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of between £80,000 to £90,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits / Prospects (including Relocation Assistance), an employment package that reflects the company's commitment to its employees.
