Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Security Officer to join our team at our office space in Peterborough. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Regular Patrols: Conduct hourly patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of the area.
- Monitor Entry Points: Monitor entry points and patrol the site perimeter to prevent unauthorized access.
- Manage Access Control: Manage access control, including checking IDs and credentials, to ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
- Ensure Safety and Order: Ensure the safety and order of the premises and report any disturbances or suspicious behavior to the relevant authorities.
- Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and assistance to visitors, including directing them around the site as needed.
- SIA Licence: Possess a valid SIA licence in Security Guarding, Door Supervision, or Close Protection.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public.
- Smart Appearance: Maintain a smart appearance and good personal presentation at all times.
- Ability to Work Independently: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take charge of situations as needed.
- Comfortable Working Long Hours: Be comfortable working long hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Checkable Work History: Have a checkable work history for the previous five years in accordance with BS7858.
- Fluent in English: Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Team Player: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in teams and develop strong team loyalty.
- Observational Skills: Possess good observational skills and the ability to take initiative to act individually or collaboratively as needed.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate starting at £11.14 per hour, inclusive of paid holiday entitlement.
