Job Title: Regional Health and Safety Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Health and Safety Manager to join our team at OCU Group. As a key member of our SHEQ department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of health and safety services across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk assessments, method statements, and SHEQ plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular SHEQ compliance monitoring activities, including audits and engagements, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Monitor and track SHEQ compliance information, including lead and lagging indicators, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular update reports on team and individual activities, business unit performance, and improvement actions.
- Be empowered to stop or halt operations deemed to pose a risk of significant health, safety, or environmental breaches.
- Recommend solutions for significant SHEQ audit non-conformance, adverse accident investigation findings, or poor performance.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma or Construction Certificate, or equivalent, as a minimum.
- Chartered Member of IOSH, or actively working towards, as a minimum.
- A qualification in Environmental or Quality disciplines is desirable.
