Early Years Leader Job Description

At Ultimate Activity Camps, we're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to join our team. As a key member of our camp staff, you'll be responsible for delivering a fun and engaging programme for our 4- and 5-year-old campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality Early Years programme, meeting all EYFS requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sports, arts, and crafts activities, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment.
  • Direct and support a small team of Early Years staff, ensuring seamless childcare delivery.
  • Ensure Ofsted requirements are met, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents.
  • Manage administrative duties, including sign-in/out, registration, and communication with parents.
  • Liaise with the Camp Manager to promote the welfare of children in your care.
  • Supervise and engage with children outside of activity times, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements:
  • Educated to a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with significant experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
  • Experience in delivering activities and tailoring sessions according to age and ability.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about developing children through play and activity.
  • Good organisation and communication skills, with confidence in leading a group of children.
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp setting.
  • Excellent communicator, with great face-to-face customer service skills.
