HVAC Technician - Commercial Gas Specialist
An outstanding opportunity has emerged for a skilled HVAC Technician with a focus on commercial gas systems to become part of a prominent facilities management organization. This role entails traveling across various locations to service, maintain, and repair a diverse array of commercial heating systems, alongside some air conditioning and related HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive maintenance needs across multiple sites.
- Acting as the primary contact for all maintenance activities within your designated locations.
- Ensuring all technical documentation and compliance records are accurately maintained and current.
- Conducting service and repairs on various mechanical systems, including boilers, fans, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), and fan coil units (FCUs).
- Adhering to safe working practices concerning both three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
- Completing surveys and generating reports as required by management.
The ideal candidate:
- Will have experience in a similar mobile role, traveling from home to various job sites.
- Possesses mechanical HVAC expertise, including knowledge of pumps and motors.
- Can effectively interact with clients and on-site management teams.
- Is capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Exhibits a hands-on, proactive, and adaptable work ethic.
- Holds a valid driving license, as this position requires mobility.
Compensation Package:
Basic salary of £44, with standby payments totaling £2,535, leading to an annual package of approximately £46,865.7. Additional benefits include:
- £2,000 signing bonus
- Monday to Friday, 45-hour work week
- Callout duty every four weeks
- Paid travel time
- Overtime rates of 1.5x for weekdays and 2x for weekends
- Company vehicle for personal use
- Private healthcare coverage
- Life insurance
- 33 days of annual leave
Qualifications / Experience:
ACS Gas qualifications including COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1, TPCP1A are essential.
Desirable qualifications include:
- City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category 1
- City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition
