Our PracticeData & Analytics is a specialist business unit within Oliver Wyman, set up in 2017 to provide clients with in-depth data analysis and insights. The practice is a dynamic, fast-growing team of quantitative analytics specialists who work closely with our colleagues across Oliver Wyman to cover a global footprint. We work across multiple industries, including Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, and Transportation.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Entry Level Analyst to join our Data & Analytics practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne. As a Quantitative Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the execution of individual project workstreams, gathering and analyzing data to understand trends, and presenting insights to clients. You will also support our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data analysis and modeling techniques to drive business insights
- Manage and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and meet client needs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent command of English language (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage a heavy work volume and meet deadlines in an extremely fast-paced environment
