The OCS Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team. As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Centre to a very high standard by performing various duties, including:
  • Vacuuming of all entrance mats
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Litter picking external areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining waste and recycling areas
  • Litter picking car park and emptying bins
  • Wipe down all glass doors and panels
  • Cleaning, mopping, and disinfecting all toilet areas, including disabled and baby changing facilities
  • Washing or wiping down walls, pillars, and painted surfaces
  • Washing or wiping down furniture, fixtures, and fittings
  • Emptying and wiping down internal bins
  • Wipe down and restocking cleaning trolleys
  • Cleaning mall flooring, including dry mopping, spillages, litter, and debris clearing
  • Cleaning the management suite, workshop office, control room, and staff areas via dusting, polishing, and vacuuming
  • Operating compactor, baler, tow tug, and other equipment
  • Operating scrubber drier, window cleaning equipment, high-level equipment, and other cleaning equipment
  • Utilizing the patrol monitor (diester) system to assist with accident and incident control and prevention
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe, proper, and thorough manner, taking into account Health and Safety legislation, Incentive FM policies and procedures, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information
  • Reporting anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
  • Keeping your cleaning area and space clean and tidy at all times and storing cleaning materials safely

Requirements

  • Experience of working and building partnerships with clients and colleagues
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Experience of working within a fast-moving cleaning environment
  • Ability to use a tablet or smartphone
  • Articulate and able to communicate effectively with clients and teams
  • Organized individual who can work well as part of a team or under their own initiative
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of high-quality service delivery and its impact
  • Ability to be agile and flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role
  • Excellent time management, organization, and focus on ability to prioritize and multitask with clear ability to focus on detail
  • Maintain polite and good communication with colleagues, tenants, and shoppers at all times
  • Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required
  • At all times, follow through any managerial instructions
