As an Underwriter/Senior Underwriter, you will work within underwriting parameters and authority levels to drive existing and new broker relationships by delivering high-quality account underwriting and servicing of renewal and new business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Underwrite, price, and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company's strategy, guidelines, and individual underwriting authority
* Write a minimum of GWP each business year, as agreed
* Execute agreed business and action plans with brokers in terms of profitability, retention, and new business ratios
* Take accountability and ownership for own underwriting decisions
* Highlight and work with underwriters on non-typical opportunities
* Develop and maintain close and effective relationships with brokers, insurers, and clients, including travel and entertainment
* Willingness to pick up and run an existing renewal portfolio
* Strong understanding of PI market/conditions
* Pragmatic, commercial, and excellent technical underwriting skill set
* Ability to work within a fast-paced, team environment
