Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Façade Consultant to join our team at Altura Search.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical execution of façade design and advisory services.
  • Engage and collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, property owners, consultants, and contractors.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, sketches, drawings, and technical outputs at each phase of the project.
  • Draft technical specifications and address inquiries related to site and construction matters.
  • Conduct building assessments and lead the creation of due diligence reports for property owners.
  • Perform factory visits, site evaluations, and oversee façade performance testing.
  • Evaluate contractor proposals, carry out tender assessments, and guide the technical review of detailed design submissions from specialist contractors.
  • Offer technical support and mentorship to team members.
  • Engage in internal technical networks and disseminate façade engineering expertise among colleagues across various locations.
  • Support business development initiatives and assist in preparing fee proposals.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants should possess façade engineering and design consultancy experience within the UK. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related design discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or qualified Architect, or an associate member of a relevant institution working towards qualification.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in façade design and engineering.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, report writing, and visual presentation techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable Building Regulations, BS/EN Standards, CWCT technical guidance, and international standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles governing the structural behavior and thermal performance of façades and their application in design and construction.
  • Extensive familiarity with various façade systems, products, materials, and finishes, including their fabrication, assembly, construction, and operation.
  • Eligibility and right to work in the United Kingdom.
