Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SENCO to join our team at ACADEMICS. As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with students with diverse needs, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a successful team of Teaching Assistants to provide excellent pastoral care across the school.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure inclusive practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of three years' teaching experience.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
