Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with complex needs in their home environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate the functional needs of adults in their homes and community settings, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Provide expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications, utilizing client-centered principles to develop and implement interventions.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to conduct moving and handling assessments, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritizing dignity and respect in all interactions with clients.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist or in a related field, preferably in a community setting.
  • Proven experience with adaptations and manual handling.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (Ackerman Pierce Ltd can facilitate this process).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
