Job Description

Technical Manager

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 plus car and bonus

Location: Cambridgeshire

As a Technical Manager, you will enjoy the day-to-day challenge of managing a complex technical product, produced with well-invested kit and equipment. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement a strategy for a new way of working, mapping out the impact on your team and driving business success.

Our company, Focus Management Consultants, is a leading provider of management consulting services, and we are seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with complex, fast-moving food products, and a strong understanding of the needs of working with a range of differing customers on both own-label and branded products.

This role will offer an excellent opportunity to work with a broad UK and global technical team, driving business development and skill progression.

The core areas of focus for this role include:

  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and guidelines to ensure that manufacturing is conducted legally.
  • Managing allergens through the site allergen risk assessment and supporting documentation.
  • Ensuring that the quality management system is best in class.
  • Ensuring compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Food.
  • Leading the Food Safety HACCP team.
  • Ensuring that the HACCP document is up to date and that the CCPs are implemented within the factory.
