Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Plumber to join our team at CHP. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks, including bathroom and kitchen modifications, plumbing repairs, and other associated works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out bathroom and kitchen modifications, plumbing repairs, and other associated works in properties owned or managed by CHP, ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance with current legislation.
  • Undertake basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, and decorating works as required, to complete repairs and renewals, and ensure that works are delivered in a high standard, professional, customer-focused, and efficient way.
  • Work flexibly across all teams as required, and be willing to take on new areas of work with the appropriate training, to ensure an efficient and financially viable service is delivered.
  • Assist other multi-skilled operatives, supervisors, and managers working as part of a larger team, to contribute to the delivery of repairs, empty homes, and larger project works.
  • Conduct all work to comply with current health and safety legislation and compliance policies, including manual handling, working at heights, and asbestos awareness, with method statements and risk assessments undertaken where appropriate.

Requirements

  • City and Guilds Plumbing Level 2 or NVQ 2 Plumbing or equivalent demonstrable prior learning.
  • Full, current manual driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic competency in a wide range of additional trade skills, eg, plastering, tiling, carpentry, glazing, groundworks, fencing.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety, safe working practices, manual handling, and compliancy in the workplace.
  • Customer-focused with a professional attitude and understanding of working with a vulnerable client group.
