Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Red Sky Personnel. As a key member of our commercial management team, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our high-profile infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive cost and value reporting to ensure projects stay financially on track, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and maintain up-to-date commercial strategies, ensuring the company's financial interests are protected.
- Drive subcontractor procurement and lead negotiations to secure the best outcomes, leveraging your expertise to achieve optimal results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, fostering a collaborative environment that drives project success.
- Mentor and develop junior surveyors, guiding them to achieve their full potential and contribute to the company's growth.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure targets and deadlines are consistently met, providing commercial guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- A degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and extensive experience in civil engineering, with a strong understanding of NEC contracts.
- A proven track record in commercial management and subcontractor procurement, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support your team, and excellent time management skills, with a focus on meeting tight deadlines.
- Membership with RICS or a similar professional body is desirable, as is experience working on water or utilities projects, and previous experience with contractors of a similar scale.
