Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Team to provide quotes and meet customer order requirements, while also contributing to the development of new systems and procedures to ensure cost-effective purchasing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to determine purchasing needs to meet customer demands
  • Translate these needs into cost-effective solutions
  • Obtain quotes for external products to fulfill customer requirements
  • Provide material and equipment pricing to the Sales and Project teams
  • Prepare and raise purchase orders using our ERP system
  • Ensure timely delivery of stock and adherence to quality standards
  • Notify relevant departments of any price changes, lead times, or supply chain risks
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers
  • Manage our Contracts database
  • Handle any additional ad hoc Purchasing tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Part-qualified CIPS or willingness to pursue qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing role
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Familiarity with the HubSpot CRM system
  • Ability to work effectively with staff across all levels
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
