Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a major new build Data Centre project in Slough.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Tender and Contract Documents
    • Preparing bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
  • Client Requirements and Feasibility Studies
    • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements
    • Undertaking feasibility studies
  • Commercial Risk Management
    • Performing risk management
    • Value management and cost control
  • Procurement Strategy
    • Advising on procurement strategy
  • Commercial Risk Identification and Analysis
    • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Tender Costings and Subcontractor Allocation
    • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
    • Allocating work to subcontractors
  • Contractual Claims and Progress Reporting
    • Providing advice on contractual claims
    • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
  • Payment and Contract Management
    • Valuing completed work and arranging payments
    • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
