About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Maintenance Specialist to join our team at PRS. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building services systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on air conditioning and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on chillers, air handling units (AHU), and split systems, as well as fan coil units.
  • Carry out small works, installations, and refurbishments of air conditioning and cooling equipment.
  • Maintain and manage records for all HVAC equipment on site, including F-Gas records, and provide monitoring services for critical maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose faults and perform leak repairs on air conditioning systems.
  • Liaise with electrical building services and building management system (BMS) teams to ensure seamless integration and overlap where required.
  • Provide expert advice on air conditioning and air cooling systems based on current theory and knowledge.
  • Assist with general ad-hoc maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Experience in air conditioning and chiller maintenance.
  • Building services knowledge, including basic electrical knowledge.
  • Highly articulate and presentable with excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Chiller/refrigeration experience.
  • IT literate and good record-keeping skills.
  • Qualified AC-R engineer (C&G/NVQ).
  • F-Gas 2079 safe handling of refrigerants.
  • Valid driving license.
