Shipping Logistics Coordinator

Airedale by Modine is seeking a skilled Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of export orders, collaborating with internal departments, and negotiating freight rates with forwarders and agents.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate with internal departments to progress export orders, including Sales, Spares Order Processing, Accounts, International Sales, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality Control, and packing.
- Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and agents, leveraging experience with Incoterms to ensure optimal shipping terms.
- Ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining a reasonable return for the company, advising on freight costs for export quotations and special requirements.
- Liaise with customers for export orders under EXW terms to ensure timely collection by forwarders.
- Comply with current legislation for export shipments, handling certification and legalization requirements with the local Chamber of Commerce.
- Verify and sign off invoices from freight forwarders and agents to ensure accuracy and match rates obtained.
- Provide cover for the UK Shipping Team in case of absence due to illness or holiday entitlement.
