The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical operations and maintenance of our facility in Reading. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other building services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve any mechanical issues.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Liaise with other departments and external contractors to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the mechanical engineering sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
