About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Stress Engineer to join our team at Safran Seats. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of stress engineers to ensure that our aircraft seats meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of stress engineers to ensure tasks are completed to requirements, on time, and within budget.
  • Develop and implement stress analysis methods and techniques to ensure the structural integrity of our aircraft seats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with certification testing.
  • Review and approve stress and structural documentation for submission to regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering.
  • Preferably MEng or PhD with specialism in FEA, simulation, dynamics, materials, and/or structures.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis (4D/8D/Ishikawa).
