We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Solicitor to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will have experience working within the Local Authority setting and specifically within Criminal Litigation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Criminal Law and be able to handle and advise on a variety of civil and criminal disputes. They will be required to carry their own caseload of both Claimant and Defendant matters, including covering Court work and hearings as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation in various civil disputes, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and legal documents, and providing case analysis. They will also be required to assist in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling and advising on civil and criminal disputes
  • Carrying own caseload of Claimant and Defendant matters
  • Providing expert legal advice and representation
  • Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
  • Assisting in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive
  • Knowledge in Criminal Law
  • Local Government experience desirable

Working Hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
