Leaving Care Solutions (LCS) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Workers to provide ad-hoc waking night support to young people in our care.

Your Role as a Residential Childcare Support Worker

As a Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of young people residing in our care homes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing responsive and personalized support to each young person based on their individual needs and support plans.
  • Monitoring behavior and documenting any changes, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and reporting any concerns to the relevant team members.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with young people, fostering a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Collaborating effectively with other staff members and professionals involved in the care of the young people.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents by adhering to established policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Flexibility in your availability to work weekends and evenings.
  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce qualification, NVQ Level in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue these qualifications.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between care homes.
  • Excellent computer skills.
