About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the implementation and delivery of the Council's transformation activities, and other corporate priority and major projects. This role will lead and manage some of the Council's most complex transformational and innovative change projects and programmes of work, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects and programmes from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and implement project governance frameworks to ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on delivering results.
