About the Position:
In the role of Estimator, you will assist the Managing & Senior Estimators in formulating estimates for a diverse range of surfacing projects.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:
Analyzing customer drawings and specifications to create precise costing sheets for materials, labor, and equipment.
Evaluating design alternatives and pinpointing value engineering solutions.
Documenting assumptions, recognizing risks and opportunities, and aiding in risk assessment.
Collaborating with project team members and the supply chain to comprehend proposed methodologies and principles.
Additionally, you will lead small to medium-sized bids, ensuring that tender deliverables are produced efficiently and punctually.

This includes:
Adhering to company protocols.
Scrutinizing tender documents and submission criteria.
Establishing and agreeing on key rates.
Conducting detailed evaluations of subcontractor proposals.

Who We Seek:
A candidate with prior experience in estimating roles within the highways or civil engineering sectors.
An individual possessing strong financial insight and proficiency in IT tools such as Word and Excel.
Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation:
£55,000 - £75,000 based on experience.
