Deputy Surgical Ward Manager Job Description

As a Deputy Surgical Ward Manager at Elysium Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team to provide high-quality care and support for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Empower recovery and deliver supervision to staff across the ward to deliver great healthcare.
  • Work alongside the senior Nurse and Ward Manager to co-ordinate the on-call service and manage the ward budgets.
  • Lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, leading care teams and creating a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives for the better.
Requirements:
  • A relevant nursing qualification.
  • NMC registration.
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice.
