Position Overview: As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our procurement operations, ensuring the effective sourcing and acquisition of materials vital for our production processes. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate agreements, and oversee inventory levels to guarantee timely delivery of products while maintaining cost efficiency. Your meticulous attention to detail and strategic approach will be key in optimizing our purchasing operations and fostering continuous improvement.
Key Duties:
- Manage all procurement functions related to the acquisition of goods, materials, and supplies to support the Engineering team's scheduled and urgent requirements, ensuring competitive pricing, quality standards, and compliance with company protocols.
- Input orders into the MRP system and generate product codes as needed.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to enhance lead times and ensure prompt delivery.
- Issue Purchase Orders (PO) based on confirmed customer requests and internal project timelines.
- Track PO progress, address any delays, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders and systems.
- Coordinate with inventory management to maintain sufficient stock levels, ensuring the company can deliver efficient service to its clients.
