About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook Supervisor to join our team at Salford Council. As a Cook Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our students and staff.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Manage kitchen inventory and supplies, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our kitchen services meet the needs of our students and staff.
Requirements
- City & Guilds 706 or NVQ2 qualification in food preparation and cooking.
- Basic hygiene certificate.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
