An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a qualified and experienced Biomedical Scientist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council to take on the role of Healthcare Scientist Team Manager within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion department.
Department Highlights:
The department operates within a state-of-the-art facility and provides comprehensive Haematology and Transfusion services to various healthcare settings. Recent advancements include the implementation of cutting-edge equipment to enhance laboratory automation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Team Manager, you will oversee daily technical operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards while offering expert guidance to both service users and colleagues. Your role will encompass:
- Line management and staff development
- Service enhancement initiatives
- Health and safety compliance
- Quality oversight in the Specimen Reception area
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification, along with substantial post-registration experience in a hospital Haematology Laboratory. Candidates currently in a band 7 role with management duties are also encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule:
This position requires flexibility, including the possibility of out-of-hours shifts, though participation in the out-of-hours rota is not mandatory for the Team Manager.
