Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the kitchen, overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that our culinary standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culinary Excellence
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
    • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
    • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
    • Manage kitchen staff schedules, including staffing levels, breaks, and time-off
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to kitchen staff
  • Financial Management
    • Manage kitchen budgets, including food costs, labor costs, and inventory
    • Monitor and control kitchen expenses to ensure they are within budget
    • Identify areas for cost savings and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and have a positive dining experience
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
    • Monitor customer feedback and use it to improve our culinary offerings and services

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
