About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Patient Care Advisor. As a key member of our MSK Partnership service, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first point of contact for patients, handling patient data and working within small teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Communicate effectively with local GP practices, hospitals, community staff, and clinicians to coordinate patient care and services.
  • Work a split week in physiotherapy departments in Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital.
Requirements
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative role.
  • Proven ability to work with professional teams, customer care, and service industry practices.
  • Intermediate level use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Compliance with patient confidentiality and data protection requirements.
  • Patient administration systems and appointment booking systems experience.
  • Dealing with difficult conversations by telephone.
  • Principles of care, such as first do no harm and patient confidentiality.
Skills and Qualities
  • Effective communication, face-to-face and on the telephone, with a range of people in various situations.
  • Excellent telephone manner and managing calls professionally.
  • Good listening skills, with the ability to maintain focus and recognize distractions.
  • Able to plan and organize work effectively to achieve key service performance indicators and meet deadlines.
  • Thorough approach to recording accurate information and data entry.
