Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Work Commitment: 39 weeks
Salary: Level 2 or 3 dependent on experience SCP 5 (FTE £23,500.00 subject to qualifications and experience)
We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Gorefield Primary Academy. The ideal candidate will have recent, relevant experience and a commitment to children's learning. They will be able to build good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, and demonstrate full commitment to the school's aim to raise standards.
The successful candidate will assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting children one-to-one in the classroom and at unstructured times as needed. They will also have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative. Good organisational and time-management skills are essential, as well as patience, a positive outlook, and a great sense of humour. Excellent communication skills, including high levels of spoken and written Standard English, are also required.
