We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Residential Property Legal Assistant to join our team at Law Staff Limited. Key Responsibilities- Client Communication: Handle inquiries from clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents, providing timely and accurate updates on the progress of matters.
- File Management: Open and close files within our case management system, ensuring compliance with AML, quality standards, and SRA and CQS regulations.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties, including preparing and submitting client quotes, drafting completion statements, and reviewing mortgage offers.
- Searches and Registrations: Conduct online searches, review and report on searches with guidance, and progress towards checking freehold titles and raising inquiries with supervision.
- Financial Transactions: Calculate Stamp Duty Land Tax and submit applications, prepare and submit invoices, receipts, and payments to the finance department.
- Reception Coverage: Provide occasional reception coverage, ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Conveyancing Knowledge: A solid understanding of the daily functions of a legal office, including conveyancing processes and procedures.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with case management software.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
