Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safehouse Advocate to join our team at Causeway Charitable Services. As a key member of our North West safe-houses team, you will provide emotional and practical support to Service Users, advocating on their behalf and communicating with various organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Working: Provide support to Service Users identified as Potential Victims of Human Trafficking, including regular feedback and review meetings with the Accommodation Coordinator.
  • Appointment Arrangements: Arrange and attend appointments with Service users, including families, and ensure that volunteers working with you on shift have the proper level of support and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Paperwork and Reporting: Follow up on all paperwork and details of VOHT in adherence to the terms of the contract, including online reporting, weekly reviews, risk assessments, support plans, and inductions.
  • Progression and Support: Ensure the progression of PVOHT through the system, identify support hours, and ensure accurate logging of all hours.
  • Exit Strategies: Prepare exit strategies in a timely fashion and deal with out-of-hours crises in accordance with the standby rota.
  • Referrals and Inductions: Receive out-of-hours referrals, carry out inductions, weekly reviews, and update the IT system.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Ensure adherence to all internal procedures regarding Causeway, the Safe Houses, and any legislation.
  • Representation and Promotion: Promote Causeway in adherence to the terms of the contract, including attending events on behalf of Causeway as a whole.
