Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer at Bird Bellows

This position encompasses a range of essential responsibilities, including:

  • Creating technical proposals and estimating project costs
  • Formulating design concepts and supervising testing phases
  • Facilitating design reviews with internal teams and clients
  • Overseeing qualification programs
  • Validating 3D models and technical drawings
  • Ensuring adherence to design specifications
  • Identifying and managing technical risks while reporting on project progress

Required Experience and Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in product design within regulated sectors
  • Background in metallic ducting systems or sheet metal fabrication
  • Experience in leading product development and qualification testing

Desirable:

  • Experience in product development within the Aerospace sector

Qualifications and Training Required:

Essential:

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software
  • Understanding of New Product Introduction Process Principles
  • Skills in cost estimation
