Job Title: Communications Officer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join our team at Service Care Solutions - Housing. As a key member of our Communications Team, you will be responsible for creating and distributing engaging content that supports our organisational communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Develop and Implement Communications Strategy:**
  • Work with the Communications Team to deliver our communication strategy, including the development of online publications, digital channels, and social networks.
  • **Effective Stakeholder Communications:**
  • Deliver effective, segmented, and stakeholder communications to support our organisational objectives.
  • **Media Relations:**
  • Act as the organisational point of contact with the media, providing timely and accurate responses to press enquiries.
  • **Content Creation:**
  • Produce and edit resident communications and publications, managing the process through to delivery.
  • **Digital Content Management:**
  • Contribute content to our organisational websites, social media, and other digital channels, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and personal to the target audience.
  • **Brand Management:**
  • Be a 'Brand Guardian', ensuring all communications are 'on message' and adopt the right tone for the audience, following our brand guidelines.
  • **Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion:**
  • Ensure Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion are considered in all organisational communications.

Requirements:

  • **Minimum of 2 years' experience** in a communications environment.
  • **Excellent writing and editing skills**, with the ability to write and edit for a range of audiences and channels.
  • **Strong knowledge of public relations**, including responding to press enquiries, media engagement, and protecting organisational reputation.
  • **Experience in developing creative multimedia content** for social media and other digital channels.
  • **Exceptional personal planning, administrative, and organisational skills** to prioritise workload, set, and meet deadlines.
