Job Title: Senior Public Sector Procurement Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Public Sector Procurement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for delivering improvements in procurement practices that drive compliance and provide optimum value for money.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and improve procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Tender and Contract Regulations (TCRs).
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to address non-compliance and work with procurement colleagues to implement these actions.
  • Lead on updating and communicating tender and contract documents, templates, and guidance in line with changes to legislation or recommendations received through internal or external scrutiny.
  • Represent procurement both internally and externally, engaging with stakeholders to ensure procurement is effectively enabling the organization to conduct its activities in compliance with TCRs and national procurement legislation.
Requirements:
  • Working towards MCIPS qualification and up-to-date knowledge of current and prospective public procurement legislation.
  • Experience of contract management and managing and improving procurement governance.
