Lead Embedded Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Embedded Software Development Engineer to join our team at Baker Hughes Gruppe. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized teams of software engineers to deliver projects and products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage small to medium-sized teams of software engineers to deliver projects and products for our customers.
  • Provide expert knowledge for embedded software systems to meet budget and customer delivery times.
  • Be accountable for continuous improvements to processes to deliver quality robust solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional and leadership teams to identify product improvements and influence key decisions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable lead experience in full life cycle embedded software development, including requirements and reviews.
  • Significant skills at development using C++ for embedded applications.
  • Expertise in the development of embedded software systems using Operating systems like Linux, Micrium etc.
  • Experience with Yocto tool chain.
  • Experience of developing Arm based processors like STM32.
  • Demonstrable project and team leadership experience leading to the delivery of successful business solutions.
  • Good understanding of test methodologies, use of static and dynamic code analysis etc.
  • Experience in GUI development using QML is beneficial.
  • Experience in working in an agile methodology, use of modern version control tools like Github.
  • Reasonable hardware knowledge.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and is a self-starter.
