This position involves flexible hours, including both daytime and nighttime shifts.
An additional pay rate of £1.50 per hour will be applicable for night shifts from 8pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be provided for shifts from 7am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Appley Cliff accommodates 13 adults with physical disabilities and has received a Good rating from CQC.

As a Support Care Assistant, you will deliver exceptional care and assistance to individuals, helping them to achieve their personal goals. Your duties will encompass aiding with daily activities such as personal hygiene, medication management, and meal support, while fostering independence and encouraging participation.
Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory. We provide a comprehensive training and onboarding program for all new team members. Fluency in English is essential for applicants.
In your role as a Support Care Assistant with Leonard Cheshire, you will join a dedicated team. Each day presents new challenges, but here are some of the responsibilities you will undertake:
- Support with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication administration, and mealtime assistance.
- Accompany and assist individuals within the service, at community events, and during appointments.
- Promote a Person-Centered approach, encouraging maximum independence for our clients and aiding them in achieving their personal aspirations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.

- Ideally, some experience in personal care (not essential).
- The ability to perform under pressure and collaborate as part of a team.
