About the Role

Caval Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join our team in Cumbria. As a key member of our Technical and Design teams, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business growth and commercial objectives of our prestigious house builder client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical aspects of new build housing developments across Cumbria, ensuring all projects are properly coordinated and executed.
  • Act as a liaison between departments, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project technical requirements.
  • Use industry expertise and team working skills to bridge the gap between design, planning, and operations teams.
  • Assist with feasibility studies, attend subcontractor meetings, and maintain and update records.
  • Monitor progress across various projects, liaise with solicitors and sales departments, and obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, assist with development procurement, and coordinate and distribute design drawings and project information.
  • Ensure health and safety, as well as company policies and procedures, are adhered to.
  • Provide technical support to design, planning, commercial, operations, and development teams.
Requirements
  • Proven history of working with market-leading housing contractors.
  • Experience working in a technical position within the housing/residential sector.
  • Relevant industry qualification and/or at least 5 years of experience in a technical position.
  • Commercial awareness, knowledge of AutoCAD, and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Prior interaction with NHBC/LABS/SBD standards, strong understanding of construction laws and regulations, and knowledge of legal frameworks associated with planning management.
  • Strong IT skills, organisational skills, quality control skills, good customer service, strong team working skills, effective time management, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
