About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients, working closely with clinical pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clinical pharmacists to provide pharmaceutical care to patients
  • Work with clinical pharmacists to ensure discharge medication is planned and available as necessary
  • Support patient discharge at ward level through dispensing TTAs using the workstation on wheels
  • Identify patients who require medication counselling and undertake that practice within agreed protocol
  • Obtain accurate patient drug histories in accordance with departmental standard operating procedure
  • Participate in clinical audit
