Job Title: Senior Building Safety Officer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote Working - London

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Building Safety Officer to join our team. As a Senior Building Safety Officer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on building safety and the Building Safety Act 2022. You will work closely with our professional team to provide clients with comprehensive advice on building safety and the Building Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Building Regulations Expertise: Provide clients with expert advice on the requirements and implications of the building regulations.
  2. Building Safety Act Guidance: Offer informed advice on the Building Safety Act 2022, ensuring client compliance.
  3. Principal Designer Role: Confidently assume the principal designer role under building regulations, which may include HRBs.
  4. Design Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments for potential hazards, including fire and structural failures, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  5. Review and assess proposed building plans.
  6. Provide professional advice on-site to builders, developers, and designers on various building projects.
  7. Conduct inspections of building works to ensure compliance with the building regulations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Surveying, Building Control, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in Building Control.
  • Class 3 registered building inspector or in the process of registering with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) – (Desirable with support to enhance/provide).
  • Proven experience in construction projects.
