- To manage inquiries effectively to maximize sales, occupancy, and revenue, including upselling equipment, food & beverage, and relevant hotel amenities.
- To accurately enter all inquiries into the Sales and Catering system.
- To prepare precise function sheets, distributing them weekly and coordinating with the Operations Team as needed.
- To collaborate as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and budget targets.
- To proactively address and resolve any complaints.
- To communicate with clients to gather accurate details for each event and reservation.
- To consistently provide outstanding service to all guests and clients making inquiries or bookings.
- To identify client needs and determine how the hotel can meet those requirements.
- To respond to all Meetings & Events inquiries in accordance with company standards.
Our Meetings & Events Coordinators enjoy a variety of benefits, including:
- Becoming part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family, one of the world's leading hotel companies, offering global opportunities.
- Taxi subsidies for shifts that start or end between 23:00 and 06:00.
- Subsidized childcare support.
- Meals provided during shifts.
- 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays, increasing to a maximum of 33 days (Pro Rated).
- Company sick pay and life insurance for all colleagues.
- Exclusive discounts at our hotels and restaurants worldwide.
- Discounts from over 15,000 retailers, including retail and entertainment.
- A generous Refer a Friend program.
If you are an individual who values authenticity and seeks to work in an environment that celebrates individuality, we encourage you to consider this opportunity as a Meetings & Events Coordinator.
Applicants must meet the legal requirements to work in the UK.
At IHG Hotels & Resorts, we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer, ensuring that all colleagues are treated with respect and have equal opportunities for growth and development.
Join us in our mission to deliver True Hospitality for Good, making our guests and colleagues feel welcome, cared for, recognized, and respected.
