Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Pets Choice Ltd. This is a new role that will focus on sourcing materials, commodities, and ingredients for our pet food manufacturing sites in Blackburn.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop innovative supplier partnerships to support a lean and profitable supply chain.
* Manage supplier performance and implement scorecards to align business objectives on cost, quality, OTIF, lead-times, etc.
* Identify areas of risk in the supply chain, prioritize, and implement plans to mitigate such risks.
* Conduct contract negotiation and ongoing market analysis to determine the most cost-effective and efficient methods with both suppliers and customers.
* Provide support to the business during the execution of larger projects, including new product development and innovation pipeline.

**Requirements**

* Contract negotiation skills.
* Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
* Computer literacy.
* Experience gained from the food or pet food industry is highly desirable.

**Working Arrangements**

This role will be based in our Blackburn Head Office, working 3 days per week and 2 days per week from home.
