Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principle Water Engineer to join our team at Stansted Airport. As a key member of our Water Services team, you will be responsible for developing and managing our water assets, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a detailed Asset Technical Standard for our water services assets
  • Provide technical design assurance to ensure projects align with our standards
  • Collaborate with our Asset Maintenance development teams to assess the state and expected future performance of our asset portfolio
  • Help devise asset strategies and renewal initiatives that consider asset condition, lifetime costs, and risks
  • Work with our Operational and Asset divisions to establish risk tolerance and objectives for asset condition and expense
  • Contribute to developing an elite asset management practice for Stansted Airport and provide input on leading industry approaches to asset management

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Chartered engineer status (desirable)
  • At least five years of experience in water services projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to influence and negotiate on strategy and investment plans with internal customers and stakeholders
