Job Description

Job Summary

AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Facility Specialist to join our team. As a Facility Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting and delivering our facility management responsibilities and requirements across our highly regulated estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Facility Specialist to support, manage, and deliver a workplace environment that is safe, secure, and compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Manage, support, and maintain a designated portfolio of facilities on behalf of the appointed Senior Facility Specialist, ensuring maximum facility availability every day.
  • Act as the key interface between the facilities team, projects, residents, and other business functions/stakeholders.

Requirements

  • IOSH certification (or recognised equivalent Health and Safety qualification) is a minimum requirement.
  • IWFM professional membership held or willingness to work towards it.
  • Prior experience in facility management, health and safety, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement by identifying problems, evaluating options, and formulating effective process, system, and organisational solutions.
  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
  • Ability to be decisive under pressure, with the confidence to challenge and push back if required.
  • Effective motivational skills and a great collaborator.
  • Logical and analytical thinker, enabling performance.
  • Excellent communication, presentational, and negotiation skills.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for this role.
