Job Title: Lead MRI Radiographer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead MRI Radiographer to join our team at Ramsay Health Care. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for leading the MRI department and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality diagnostic imaging services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the MRI department and ensure that all imaging services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Commission new MRI scanners and ensure that they are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Perform specialized MRI procedures, including cardiac and small bowel enterography.
  • Supervise and develop junior radiographers and ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Responsible for MRI safety and ensure that all imaging services are delivered in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Participate in departmental audits and quality assurance programs to ensure that our imaging services meet the highest standards.
  • Provide input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained in line with statutory and organizational requirements.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration and a DCR or BSc (Hons) radiography qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in MRI, ideally in cardiac and small bowel enterography and liver imaging.
  • Experience of managing a team of radiographers or as a lead in a similar environment.
  • Flexible and dynamic approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
