Assessor and Quality Assurance Specialist in Childcare

**Job Summary**
This role involves being responsible for the recruitment, retention, and completion of a standardized caseload of learners who have chosen to enroll on a Childcare/Teaching Assistant qualification.
The Assessor is responsible for the delivery of training, assessment, and quality assurance of learners' work. The Assessor will oversee learners' knowledge and practical competence in the workplace setting.
The Assessor will be expected to recruit, support, and encourage marketing activities in line with the Programme area, and engage with employer engagement events for various qualifications in Childcare, Teaching Assistants, and Playwork, and support fellow Assessors.
The Assessor must support and monitor learners' progress and timely completions, and attend Programme Area and standardization meetings.
On a daily basis, the role involves meeting with learners and employers within different workplace settings, predominantly remotely, but with some travel expected, working independently to ensure compliance with qualification requirements.
The Assessor requires the skills to plan visits in a logical manner with due regard to restricting traveling, in order to make the best use of time, as well as providing resources and support to meet the individual needs of each and every learner in the language of their choice.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Recruit, retain, and complete a standardized caseload of learners
- Deliver training, assessment, and quality assurance of learners' work
- Oversee learners' knowledge and practical competence in the workplace setting
- Recruit, support, and encourage marketing activities in line with the Programme area
- Engage with employer engagement events for various qualifications
- Support fellow Assessors
- Monitor learners' progress and timely completions
- Attend Programme Area and standardization meetings
**Working Arrangements**
The role is a full-time permanent position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work independently, predominantly remotely, with some travel expected.
