About the Role

The Assistant Estimator is a key role within the Chevron Group, supporting the commercial and operational teams in ensuring efficient contract delivery and assisting with the preparation and compilation of 'in contract' quotations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and build client relationships
  • Manage client portals, including prompt responses and data upload
  • Review client challenges in relation to submissions
  • Liaise with operational leads to understand scheme requirements
  • Review traffic management design
  • Compile target cost backup substantiation sheets for clients
  • Undertake review and pricing compensation events
  • Attend weekly and monthly update meetings between commercial and operations
  • Update scheme and contract registers
Requirements
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within a commercial setting
  • Knowledge and experience of temporary traffic management
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and ability to think laterally and problem-solve
  • Ability to build new and existing relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Full UK driving license
