About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SENCO to join our team at a thriving primary school in Bromley. The school has a strong commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students, and we are looking for someone who shares this vision.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing SEN provision, with experience of carrying out 1:1 assessments and supporting the administrative side of the role. They will also have a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the Primary Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out 1:1 assessments of students with special educational needs
  • Managing the administrative side of the SENCO role, including EHCPs
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Providing support and guidance to parents and carers
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
